The meeting was called to order at 7:38 PM in the Sports Pavilion Club Room.
Attending: John Oravis, John Thompson, DuAnn Thompson, Jerry Byrnes, Mark Eastom, Regina Sullivan, Bruce Kvam, Wayne Miller, Nao Ikeda and Jill Pearson.
The minutes from the previous meeting and the treasurer's report were approved.
NCAA regulations regarding contact with recruits was reiterated. Recruits are "off limits" to boosters until they actually matriculate.
Pat Rickstrom will be standing in for DuAnn for the Senior night reception. Due to the larger crowds attending the receptions, additional chairs have been requested.
The Golddiggers will pay for an advertisement of congratulations in the Minnesota Daily, as is the custom.
Up to $150 was approved for the NCAA selection party.
Post-match receptions will be held on Saturday evenings of the NCAA tournament if the Gophers are playing, tentatively scheduled for Dec. 4 and 11.
Framed jerseys will be presented as senior gifts instead of the engraved watches this year. Up to $900 was approved for these gifts. $300 was approved for the ball girl gifts.
Club support for the program was discussed, in particular a named scholarship. An endowment of tens of thousands of dollars is usually required for named scholarships.
Induction of additional members into the Golden Spikers hall of fame was discussed.
Helping pay for the band at the Final Four was discussed. Decision will be made if the team makes it and the department needs help.
