The meeting was called to order at 7:06.
The minutes of January 11, 2000 were approved. The treasurer's report was also approved.
A new expense $50 for a congratulatory bouquet for Yvonne and Adam van Oort was approved. The $200 donation to the Batie Memorial was also approved. One error was noted in the accompanying pie charts: $200 of decals were grouped as Postage rather than Promotions. It was discussed that this year there will be a postage savings due to increased use of email.
The final membership list was distributed to the board members. Barb Axel is now beginning next year's list. John Oravis plans to promote the Golddiggers at the upcoming Coaches Clinic.
Thank you to everyone for their contributions to make the 1999 Banquet a success. The video continues to get requests. John Oravis sent out thank you notes to the speakers and the Shriners.
Thank you also for your support to the Batie Family. The memorial service volunteers were very appreciated. Mark Eastom and his company Freemind Consulting, Inc. are sponsoring a Maurice Batie Memorial Plaque. This will be mounted on the hallway wall of the Sports Pavilion. Thank you, Mark!
The Women's Athletics Department is seeking a corporate sponsor for the Border Battle Tournament, and has requested that the Golddiggers hold off on creating a trophy.
The spring tournament schedule is published on the web page, with the Wisconsin update. The Golddiggers will sponsor a team lunch for the 4/22 tournament in Minnesota. Nao Ikeda offered to take care of ordering sub sandwiches through the team budget. DuAnn Thompson will organize the Golddiggers to provide side dishes, such as salad, fruit, chips, dessert and beverages. The Golddiggers will not set up a snack and souvenir sales stand at the tournament.
John Oravis is developing a quarter page promotional ad for the Hot Stuff newsletter. This will be a format that allows it to be clipped and mailed in.
