The January 9th meeting of the Golddigger’s Booster Club was called to order by President Larry Mickelson at 7:04 pm. Those present were Larry Mickelson, Betty Cipperly, Sharon & Dave Manninen, JT & DuAnn Thompson, Nao Ikeda, Hamlin Sjoberg, Bev & Jim Manship & Lon Ortner. Thanks for the treats Betty!

Secretary’ Report

There was a slight correction to the minutes of the last meeting: Correct the amount for NCAA Selection reception to $150. Betty motioned to accept the change and JT seconded.

Treasurer’s Report

JT reported that the report was BORING! We all have the report. There is a deposit of $1735. We will write a check for $150 for the NCAA selection reception. The balance showing is $7066.68 with planned expenses of $6359.58 leaving a balance of $727.10. Dave M motioned to accept, seconded by Sharon M.

OLD BUSINESS

Banquet

That is why we are here tonight. Date will be February 9th. Time: 10:30 to 1:30. To be held at the Raddison University Hotel (on campus). The time has been moved up slightly to accommodate a basketball game in the afternoon. Larry has taken care of the contract and it has been returned to them. Room rental will be $100 and Rod Simon will be the emcee. We will have a plated sit-down meal this year - no buffet. Members will be given a choice of 3 entrees - most likely beef, chicken and vegetarian. Larry will check to see if we can have a children’s option this year at a slightly lesser price. Golddigger members will be charged $25 each and $30 each for non - members. Coach’s club members receive 2 free tickets.

Nao is working on the invitation. JT will get a flier together to have on-line for members. Those will need to be printed off and mailed to him with checks for the meal -deadline for that will be January 26th). The final count will need to be given to the Raddison by February 6th.

Dave will chair the committee to get things moved for Nao to the Raddison. We will probably need to start that process about 9:30 to be sure it is all in place.

NEW BUSINESS

Nao gave us the 2008 schedule (as of 10.24.07). Larry and JT wanted to know if we could post it on-line. Yes, but it is tentative. We will also need to discuss merchandise and how we are going to handle that this year. We will also need to talk about first practice and membership.

Next Meeting

The next meeting will be April 15 in the Pavilion club room (tentatively). JT motioned to adjourn and it was seconded by Hamlin.
